The other driver has admitted full liability and we have several independent witness's so all good there.

At the moment I don't want to go through insurance - I deal with them enough in my day job and don't want to risk write off etc.

We'll get it on a ramp next week and see how bad the chassis is.

It was fun while it lasted!

Sucks :(

If it is covered by insurance, hope they don't right it off.

Agreed, so most likely won't go through insurance

I'm really sorry. For obvious reasons, I find that picture really painful to look at.

You could always buy the one like it on ebay for 15 grand - oh, I forgot, it's got a crappy diesel engine in it - or you could just show that ad to the twat who hit you to show them how well worth it the brand new chassis they're going to buy you is - assuming they have bent your brand new Richards chassis - I can't get over how twisted that bumper is - I'm assuming it's a real Land Rover one and not some kind of plastic copy - are you sure it was just a 'van' that hit it?? A car load of joy riders ran into the back of my old 2.25 once while it was parked at the roadside - I got a new (and timely! :) )rear crossmember and Genuine quarter wing out of it (but their 'borrowed' Eurobox literally exploded) (then, not long after they coughed up the enormous sum for the repairs required, my quite new fuel tank started leaking - oh well, you win some, you lose some :( )

Front end is stripped, Richards Chassis (fantastic service, really impressed!) have supplied a new front crossmember but it looks like it may straighten, so a bit of good news!

Wing is at a very good body shop for matching/ restoring. New spring ordered, bumper found, radiator being rebuilt. Last piece to sort is a manifold but I do have a backup plan...

All being well she'll be going back together very soon!

I have manifolds, I just cannot release them until l get mine completed and back on the road, just in case it does not all work and needs to be returned to standard.
by the photos of progress you will be back on the road in no time,
progress looks great

So what happened next?

Too many threads just stop abruptly with no follow up.
