Hello from Scotland

Post by Andywmb »

Hello everyone. I've finally got around to signing up here.

My landy is a 1983 stage 1. I bought it back on February hoping it would be a quick project and on the road for the summer, but lack of time and many unseen problems here we are in November. But on the plus side it's ready for its MOT test and the lovely Scottish winter. When I bought it it had been converted to a diesel using an engine from an early Range Rover classic. The diesel was knackered so I put it back to the way it should be with a rover V8 and twin SU carbs ( luckily that was sitting in the shed from an old project). It's also has two thick layers of brushed on paint and is currently British racing green, but that's a job to tackle in the summer.

It's going to be a rolling project as it's far from show condition. But I'm just looking forwards to driving it.

I'll get some photos of it when the weather brightens up and show you what I've got.

I look forwards to chatting to you all.

Hi,

Welcome aboard.

I wouldn't fancy scraping so much muck off aluminium.
