Hey Geoff - good spotting. I was interested to read that the indicators were above the park lights on this site: http://www.landroverv8.com/history4.html

where it says:

Standard features (differences to UK Home Market)

• An ash tray is fitted over the radio hole pressing in the lower dash panel.
• Lower dash vents are of the swivel design and probably the same as those on the final Mokes.
• Reverse lights as standard via extra loose wires running alongside the chassis loom. Although reverse light holes were cut after the body was painted and very roughly. So to, the holes for the rear number plate light.
• A park brake warning light is added to the centre (auxiliary) dash panel.
• KPH only speedometer.
• Emission control as previously mentioned, encompassing; air injection with EGR valve plus evaporative loss control. On later cars the charcoal canister actually vents through the inner wing as per 110. Though earlier production has the hole cut for this and blanked off with a large grommet.
• Silver painted rear corner bumpers (caps) are pop riveted over the galvanised corner cappings.
• Seat belts for each seat.
• Lower front wing badges.
• Improved (slightly) cabin sealing.
• High mounting of rear reflectors.
• Indicator units are fitted to the highest position

The one I sold was a 1972 Station Wagon with a 253 V8 in it, Nissan 5-speed gearbox and Salisbury diff. NOT a car for rivet counters!

I still have a 1967 2a 109" Hardtop with a reconditioned 2.25L in it...

For those in the land of cold summers and freezing winters, a picture of my Landy.


Ok, very little of the Stage_1ness is left but it did start out as a 3.9d station wagon. The previous owner rolled it and bent the chassis beyond repair so he re-chassied it with one from a RRC. Then he wanted the Isuzu motor in his RRC so he swapped the motors. I've owned this Landy for quite some years and used to use it as a daily drive. Now it generally does the tip run and a bit of puttering around town with the occasional camp in the bush.
