Bought Brynolwen's stage 1, hope he doesn't mind me posting one of his pictures


I'm Sheffield based. Definitely a rolling restoration and will probably need a new chassis sooner rather than later.

Nice stage 1 as for a new chassis as far as i know nobody at the moment is making a stage 1 one

Best polish up my welding skills then. Thought I read somewhere that Richards would be making them but were waiting on feedback from the prototype one they made?

I've just spoken to Richards and they quoted £1649 + VAT for a new stage 1 chassis.

I've now removed roof rack (too noisy+ local kids using it as climbing frame) and snorkel (complete with birds nest + 2 chaffinches!). Quick trip across houndkirk moor in the Peaks



Replaced rear UJ, serviced, new choke cable, new clutch master cylinder, 3 point seatbelts so far. Still need to check brakes, fit new speedo drive gear to gearbox, service gas vaporiser, change oil in diffs, service carberettors. After that probably fit proper size front petrol tank, respray Java Green and Limestone, brighter front headlights, new camshaft...... Then it'll be ready for a new chassis!
