Difflock actuator converision

Post by robert »

Hello,
I haven't wrote here for long time because i have trouble free life with my Stage :-)
But everything has an end :-(
My pneumatic difflock actuator has died, how can I (if at all) convert it to mechanical operation? Has anyone did it before?
Regards
robert

Has it actually, really died? Or is there a split in the pneumatic pipe, which is a common cause of failure?

Seems a lot of hard work to convert and not much work to fix.

I agree. Even if the diaphragm has died, they are otherwise simple and reliable.

To go mechanical you will have to hook up a push/pull lever or cable system. Plus the adaptor to replace the diaphragm and seal the box. Something like the underslung PTO operating cable. But possibly with one cable for each direction.

Certainly not impossible but I don't think its worth the bother.
