Exhaust - Gear Box Crossmember

Post by landykeith »

Can anyone tell me whether the exhaust should run above or below the gearbox crossmember? Vehicle is Series 3 Stage 1 V8 109 station wagon. Many thanks Keith

What "big curve"? Mine must have a completely different exhaust setup to yours then Map because my pipe sits on top of the crossmember.

I went for the big member at the rear of the box which in factory format is scalloped to suit the exhaust regardless of model or market. The front pipes however pass over the detachable member below the bell housing.
Either way you can't really get it wrong as the pipes won't stretch to an alternate position.
