GDPR

Post by db »

Later this month the GDPR will apply to this site since it is hosted within the EU and stores personal data about its users.

I am currently testing an extension to the phpBB software used by the site. This should help it to comply with the GDPR by making it easier for users to confirm which of their personal data are stored and to more readily view the policies describing how the data is used.

Once I am satisfied that the extension is working without problems on my test site I will install it on the main site and at some point you will be asked to confirm your agreement to the site policies. Hopefully this shouldn't be a problem for anyone, as it's really just a clarification of the current situation, but feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Thanks,

David

Thanks for the update.

Good luck with the testing. I guess if it goes pear shaped, you could send a group email?
