Hi gents,
Just updating on what I went with in the end. I failed to find a moderately priced and suitable robust charge equaliser, so I went down the route of charge reducer. This was paired with a Pertronix FTII coil and Lucas distributor with FTII ignition kit. Starts like a dream from cold, runs very smooth from the offset and three months later no issues at all.
