Hub Nut Preload

Post by gingerwinky »

Hi All,

I have an ex-nzdf stage 1 v8, Is there a torque loading for the front and rear hub nuts or are they adjusted the same as a series hub?

thanks

hi alan,

thanks for that, as it turns out there was no preload on the bearings when I removed the lock washer.

That sounds tight.....? I was always taught to snug up the nut "pretty tight" and then back it off one quarter turn (or next nearest spot where the lock tab matches up) and lock it into place.

.... but if the manual says to torque it to those specifications, who am I to argue?
