Clutch Pipe

Post by Mrs Bingham »

Has anyone replaced the steel clutch hydraulic pipe that runs from the flexi on top of the bellhousing down to the slave cylinder? If so do you know the correct part number as the parts list doesn't seem that clear :?

didnt have to change mine. in the parts list looks like there are a couple of options

page 1G 04 & 1G 05 (132/549 & 133/549)

NRC3287 or NRC 4374

could you not make your own section up from copper brake pipe and put the correct flares and ends on?

I was also sucked in by that information which turns out to be irrelevant. Those parts refer to the regular Series vehicle and not the V8. I found the so called correct part number NRC3947 on page 134 in box number 1G 05. Note* only a reference and part number – no drawing so I’ll let you know what actually turns up from the suppliers :|

Nice idea making up a new pipe up but I haven’t got the gear to do it plus it isn’t easy bending steel pipe of that size. As a last resort I would have found someone to do it of course.
