What is the pump rate of the 24V fuel pump?

What is the current too?

Dunno, but it's huge, I think.

The lift pump on my 330 cat digger packed up a while ago, and I bunged one of my old and rusty as hell spare landy facet pumps in there, and it could pump enough diesel to keep a rather large 6 cyl diesel engine cranking.

Not much help, I know, but just figured sharing is caring.

Reason I ask is that the fuel pumps are not delivering enough gas to the SUs on the 3.9. It's running out of wellie on full push under load. I suspect the current pumps might be getting a little tired and not giving enough. I want to look at new pumps on Summit but need to know what the pump specs are.

Thanks guys
This is why I wanted the flow rate of the current pump. I want a rate that is better than what is there now without overdoing it.

I'd be surprised if both pumps were buggered, Alan.

The new carbs seem to be running out of juice on full tit, under load. So I am looking at different pumps to increase the flow rate. That's why I need the current flow rate.

So this one is brand spankers in the wrapper? Got an auto-bid in there anyways. Figure, at the price of a new one, it'll be useful to have.

You wanna withdraw the auction? ;)

have you pulled the cap off the pump and chucked in a new filter?

I've got a new one here you can have....

edited to add....

My pump is brand spankers, but no wrapper.... however it has caps on the line in an out fittings so no crap has made it inside. Now, tis different to the original one, there's no built in filter. But it is what they used to replace the original ones in the army.

Yeah, done all that. Figure the old pumps were fine for the Strommies, but don't provide enough for the SUs.

Runs fine normally, no problem with pick up, doesn't starve, etc. Just on foot flat down, running up the steep side of the Bombays, for example, it runs out of puff.
