I'll take a better picture of the dash tomorrow, but this gives a good view of the clocks I have used:

The eagle eyed will spot the mod at the front. I'll take another when it's dusk is the clue!!

Some better pics of Alice taken today.
Particularly pleased with how the dash has worked out. Familiar but different

More of Alice's heart!!

I have an ITG air filter on its way. Those cones are just temporary.

Extra cut out needed in wing to accommodate much larger brake servo

View of front axle drivers side from underneath. I have had to use a different cross member as the exhaust went straight through the middle of the old one.

And a view of the rear passenger side

Borg Warner transfer box with home made mounts and XEng handbrake, even that needed some mods to get it to fit properly!!

Not to everyone's taste, even I wasn't confident about the full LED headlamp, BUT, turn them on and you can see where you are going. A novel concept for a series Landrover!!
Even the ring around the main LED elements is bright enough to drive with. I have wired these up to come on with the side lights. I'll take a pic later when it's dusk so you can see the effect.

Not sure why, but the posted pics seem to have been 'zoomed' in on, so you are not getting the full picture!

The solution is, when you click on the "share" icon (the one that looks like a twisted arrow) you can select the "view size" before you copy the BB Code. It is the drop down list just below where you copy the BB Code.

500x375 would be best.

You can edit your previous two posts and replace the pictures with new sizes.

Thanks disco2hse.
Pics re-sized. look much better now.

Once Alice has her MOT, we ought to arrange a 'gathering' somewhere for a chat, beer, food etc etc

Congratulations on the start-up spencer!

Saw Alice in the flesh on Saturday and absolutely fell in love with it. The old Massi red paint looks amazing - full of patina and history. All the mods have obviously been incredibly-well thought out and really don't detract from the character of the vehicle at all. I've always been a nut-and-bolt originality person in the past and my rebuilds have reflected this, spending months tracking down the correct bracketry and returning vehicles to original spec, etc. but I'm starting to change my spots. And that engine - could make a fella weep.

When I got home I remembered what she reminded me of - the old SWB SIIA development vehicle that Land Rover built to test the V8. BXC 975G. It used to show up in the magazines all the time - it was an early IIA that had been fitted with a V8 and RR diffs, allegedly this was the one that upset Jaguar by flying past when they were road testing on the then unrestricted M1. She was used as a utility vehicle in the factory and at some point in her life she ended up with the later IIA wings and was repainted in Massai Red when they were playing with new colours, with black deep dish one-ton rims and had a safari roof - that was my all-time favourite Land Rover (probably why I was gushing so much over Alice - childhood memories). I bought Classic Land Rover this month and lo-and-behold on the front cover is BXC 975G. I was fairly devastated to see that Dunsfold have fully restored her to original condition and have un-done all the mods that occurred during its life in the Factory - its a lovely restoration but it has lost something. Think it was definitely one which should have been conserved - it was a real piece of history a test rig for the engine and later for the new colours. I can't even find any pics of her pre-resto online - will have to trawl through my old LROs.

Glad to be of some little service. I wish I could be there for beer, chat, beer, food, etc.

Looks nice and sounds er loud! I have been assured that as the system soots up, it will quieten down some. Not too bad inside, but outside un-mistakenly V8

ITG air filter fitted as well so under bonnet pretty much done.

Couple of other things to attend to, throttle pedal is just awful, very little movement resulting in a very coarse feel, kind of all or nothing effect. Will come up with a solution. Fog light needs sorting then should be good to go.
