LH exhaust manifold

Post by 5988 »

Tried to fit my stage 1 exhaust today (i have a RRc engine and ancilarrys)
the front RH down pipe seems to be about the right place, and the Y pipe seems about right
however the LH down pipe is much to long ....about 2' overlap with the y pipe
....from the manual it appears that the LH manifold has an exit in the centre not the back as per the RRc, 110, 90 etc
is this correct?
and has anyone worked arround this?...will a 110/90 downpipe fit the rest of the stage 1 system (i cant realy aford £120 for a manifold ....if i could find anyone who actuay had stock).....

The stage 1 manifolds are unique to the beast but I believe the right hand one to vary by year depending on whether it has the Detox kit or not. In any case the downpipe attaches to the centre of the manifold regardless of what side it is. I’ve no idea what a RRC manifold looks like but I suspect there may have been a few different ones over the years. http://www.lrseries.com/ do have new right hand one but its £139 plus vat so if you’ve got to buy both can get quite expensive!!! The left hand manifold seems to be made of unobtainium so you may have to fabricate a downpipe to fit the RR manifold.

Good luck…

ive come up with a temporary fix
the downpipe from a V8 110 fits the gap
the manfold on a RRc, V8 110/90 has the outlet at the back of the LH manifold facing at about 45deegrees backwards
from what i can see there is no problem with it ..other than the downpipe would be in the way of the steering box on LH drive so im not to bothered atm
Seb ...would be interested in the proper ones 8)

LH Exhaust Manifold

Looking for the LH exhaust manifold. Does anyone still have one?
I am LHD so I can't use the temporary fix just described.

Being the US, I am having a bit of trouble logging into the NZ site. I am not trying to cut the website out of the mix but would anyone have the contact of the seller?
