We have just finished manufacturing the Stage One bonnet locks.

A part which has been obsolete for years.

Ours are made from stainless steel which has been polished to give the same appearance of the original chrome plating but being stainless makes them much more durable.

I like it but there's lack of detail in the listing.
The original uses a different key to the ignition and door and a unique barrel. This reproduction appears to use the current generation double bladed door key and matching barrel? In which case I'd either want to know so I can change it and have the car keyed alike or ideally purchase without the barrel.

Unfortunatly the locks inside these are not the same as the land rover version and we have manufactured them in a different way to make them more robust so they dont fail due to water ingress.

They are not a land rover barrel.

All the locks are keyed to differ and supplied with 2 keys.

Hope this helps

I have two new old stock bonnet locks with Leyland keys. The only part not present is the catch to secure the bonnet (easily fabricated if your is broken). Price is £200 each.

Bought one of the new ones, very pleased with it, a good fit. Missed out the spring washer behind the catch plate as I found it too fiddly to hold in place and get the screw in the back to hold it in with the washer in place. Same on the original I am sure.
