Stage One For Sale - Massive Spec!

Post by John Roach »

Hi All,

My Stage One is up for sale. First registered 01/08/1982, I have owned it for ten years. Vehicle gets very little use now as my partner is somewhat less than keen on it, refuses to travel further than the local tip in it, has decided her camping days are behind her too, and (to add insult to injury) wants us to become caravanists! She also feels I only require one vehicle now I’ve entered semi-retirement. So in the interests of a quiet life I will be putting an ad on eBay in the next week or two, with an asking price of £12.5k but am offering it here first with a £500 discount. This basically represents an amount that, along with the sale of my car, will get me into something agreeable to us both. Whilst I’m prepared to consider offers, please bear in mind I don’t really want to sell and don’t need the money. Also, I won’t consider parting with any of the spares before a sale.

Vehicle is currently undergoing a full service (its fourth service in less than 4k miles!) at Flimwell Garage, Bodiam, East Sussex, where it has been looked after for the last eight years. In my ownership it has been maintained regardless of cost with only o/e or better parts used. I’ve never washed the exterior and it bears the hallmarks of a properly used Landy...even coming with patches of moss and lichen. I will get some pics up asap but currently on me jollies.

First registered 01/08/1982
Owned since December 2008

You've several of the things I had though to do to mine (rock sliders, large bore exhaust, etc.). Looks fantastic.

Can you post more information about the Havair headers?

Where did you get them and did you need to make modifications to wings and such to install them?

Thanks!

Havair is a company local to me specialising in air suspension. They were recommended to me as the proprietor is handy with stainless steel exhausts. He built the whole system and installed it...and vowed never to do another one! No modifications were required to the vehicle itself.
