Project 109 for sale

Post by Robstal110 »

I bought a very unfinished project around 5 years ago as a donor for my stage one hi cap. The guy I bought it from lost his storage space and probably lost interest in the rebuild. I honestly don't know to what extent he went into the recommisioning, it had brand new suspension but I haven't dug any further to see what he's done to the axles, so best assume nothing
Firstly it's neither fully assembled or complete, in simple terms it's
A "refurbished" chassis ( has been welded but looks pretty solid-I have not inspected it on a ramp) then painted which is pretty reasonable. It's been covered since I bought it, it's not a hi cap chassis by the way
A solid bulkhead, may need a bit of welding to footwells but nothing significant
Front and rear axles, both roll ok but I haven't had them apart
I think both props are there
It had new parabolic springs fitted
All polybushed
But no shocks
No fuel tank
Engine, fitted, definitely missing some ancillaries obviously not plumbed in
Gearbox in situ
No steering wheel, a column abd I think box and relay but can't remember,
I think there are track roads in the back of the tub
Rear tub (full of misc parts)
Windscreen
Side panels, I recall with windows but I don't think there is a hard top roof
(It came with a grp pick up roof which I flogged off to a forum member just after I bought it)
Front Slam panel but no grill
Wings, both i think
No seat box, maybe some floor panels
No door tops or bottoms
No rear tailgate or door
There are dashboard dials etc but I can't remember if there is a upper and lower dash, basically the rear tub is full of bits.
It came with two v5's, I think he was rebuilding one vehicle from two, thus the duplication of some parts
It's sitting on four standard 109 rims, tyres probably shot but can't remember
Both v5's are for vans not station wagons
My hi cap isn't going to get touched for years at the current rate (I'm 20 months into rebuilding a fc and haven't got to a rolling chassis stage yet)
This thing is sitting in a space I could use for something else
There will n doubt be lots of little bits missing
I'm in Hampshire
You'll need a trailer or lorry to load
I have the means to fork load if you don't have ramps
I paid around £850 back then
I'd like to see £650 back (based on my trusty buy high sell low ratio!) for the whole lot
I'm sure broken down it would be worth a lot more, but I've not the time to break it myself
Drop me a message if you want more info or pictures
