Stage 1 Chassis & Parts

Post by vicpen68 »

I have a 1982 X reg Stage I for sale- totally complete and unmolested- was a recovery truck with Jib on rear- this was removed prior to be buying it though. It is a Masai Red Truck cab with a Blue tilt- the vehicle needs work but is all original and still has the original hand painted signwriting on it! Only done 54k miles and did drive- but has a misfire and has been in storage for last ten years and not started for 18 months. The chassis is rotten BUT I have TWO BRAND NEW GENUINE LAND ROVER NOS CHASSIS - they are shop soiled with some very minor corrosion and one has a military rear crossmember and the other has had a civilian crossmember fitted- need finished though.
Log book and keys all present.
I also have a spare set of axles and front prop.

I have pictures that I can email to anyone interested. PRICE??? best realistic offers please.

Can you post up where you are located? .... and a way to contact you?

I would love to see the photos of the chassis.

Thanks!

Would be better if you were to upload photos to a photo sharing site and link to them here. I am sure there will be collectors who are interested.

Yes, location is important. This is an international group.

Hi,

I have tried sending you a PM but it appears to have been unsuccessful as it's just sitting in my Outbox.

I am interested in what you have and would be keen to discuss further.

Thanks.

It'll be sitting in the outbox until the recipient has read the message :)

VICPEN68 -

I have family in Cockermouth, Cumbria. I think that is somewhat near southwest Scotland.

If you can not post up photos and such - send me an email - Firemanshort@aol.com. I would love to chat with you about your frame and parts.

Does anyone know if this guy posts on other forums? I just developed a bad clicking in my front axle and we all know how hard it is to find a Stage One CV joint.

How much are you willing to bleed for a NOS one (FF005912/AEU1828 ) :) ?

Bleed??? Ugh.... You are killing me!!! ;)

The parts in the UK are a lot more desirable due to the ability of my father in law to hand carry in his luggage the next time he comes over. Danish parts would require full shipping rates - and I think axles are heavy.

Hit me off line on my email and we discuss how many pints of blood this will be.

It's not the full axle - "only" brand new in the box CV's :) And I paid a small fortune myself for them.
