Post by harry potter »

just seen a Land Rover series 3 stage 1, 3.5 V8 LWB 1980 barn find restoration project that's sold for £1700. Nice to know that the price of the vehicles are going up!!!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-se ... 7675.l2557
the listing:
For sale Land Rover series 3 stage 1 3.5 V8 petrol 1980
Non runner for restoration
Been off the road for years
This is a factory V8 and not a converted
Bulkhead and chassis will need some work but not rotten
Will need trailered away
These are getting rare to get hold of now
It is for restoration so you will not put back on the road in a weekend
On 12-Apr-16 at 18:08:20 BST, seller added the following information:
We have the v5 for this and it's in our name. We have owned it for 24 years and It has 2 former keepers.

Yep, been watching that one. This was my benchmark to the one I recently paid £1500 for. Glad to say that I think I did ok!!!

I arranged total cover "limited use" insurance today for my recently purchased Stage 1 V8. They told me the book value on their system is AUD $3,700. We then discussed the condition of the one I bought and the mileage (94,000 kms) and the insurer agreed to a value of AUD $8,500. So yes, it seems the values are going up. :D
