driveline stuck! HELP!

Post by arcticrover »

Hey all-

My Landy has run into quite a problem. When I picked it up from the shippers, the diff lock was engaged and even though the transfer case and gearbox are in neutral, all four wheels are locked. I cannot get the engine started because of the extreme cold up here. Why won't the wheels spin freely when I try to push it? Is there a trick to getting the driveline unstuck?

my guess would be the Transmission break is jamed on!

it's located @ the back of the gearbox.

Turns out it was, indeed, just frozen in place. We were up in the high 30s (farenheight) for a few days, so it came unstuck and the truck rolls just fine now. Unfortunately, I think the return spring on my throttle has past its useful life, because now my throttle will not return to idle without me having to move it by hand with the bonnet up. Ugh. Well, considering how likely I am to find a replacement spring, I may have to wait to drive it until I change out the intake manifold and carburettor. Any thoughts on a temporary fix?
