Deresticting a V8

Post by dennis »

I am undecided whether to derestrict my exMOD V8

What are the pros & cons of derestriction?

I'm open to your opinions :D

I did'nt think the 110s were restricted. Stage 1s were restricted because of the breaking issue. That was dealt with when discs were fitted. Could be wrong though. Has been known.

THe MOD restricted the V8s to 90HP .I'm just trying to figure the pro & cons of raising it a little. Some folk say it give you a bit extra, some say you have to change the jets too. I had a bit published in LRW (3 months after submission!!) and their idea was new everything!

..so basically I'm trwling for a general consensus

I de-ristricted my Stage 1 and it goes like a bat out of hell had it upto around 105mph.
I didn't change the jetting just took out the restrictors from the manifold.
