Emissions equipment

Post by arcticrover »

Hi all-

I am in need of emissions equipment for my 1980 SW. Mine apparently was removed. It made it through US customs as meeting EPA/DOT specs, but Anchorage has some very strict standards and even stricter inspection technicians. Does anyone know what all needs to be installed for that year and where I can get it?

Thanks. I could probably find the air intake part, but the stack that goes on the exhaust manifold may be more difficult to find. Anyone think they can get one over there? All I have is an empty spot on the space where mine was. I will be happy to reimburse you for your time.

Here are pictures from the manual of what I am trying to find:

I am beginning to wonder if 1980 UK models actually had this stuff fitted standard? If they didn't then it souldn't be a problem with my local enviro cops.

Would you be willing to sell? If you have a moment to take some pictures, it would be much appreciated!

Had a look at the engine last night. The spout is there but thats all. None of the other bits. Even the spout is loose where i used it as a wiggle point to get the engine out.

Timbo-

Do you need these to pass MoT? I need them to pass my emissions tests up here. Otherwise, I would have fitted my Edelbrock manifold and Holley 470CFM off road carb long ago.
