MS80 Carberettor Adjustment Tool

Good morning gentlemen - any ideas where I might be able to source one of these in NZ?

Have tried Landroverparts.co.nz - waiting on landroverspares... any other ideas? Thanks.

Re: Stuck in 1st.

BAH! Also - which is what started this episode - still loosing clutch fluid. Replaced the master, secondary to dry as far as I can tell - but I swear the fluid is tracking down onto the sump. I am guessing it could be the seals on the gearbox itself? I will be pulling the gearbox apart to try and fi...

Re: Stuck in 1st.

Still doesn't change the fact I can't get it out of first though.

I do also realise it might not be the issue - in fact, I do find it hard to believe it would be enough to jam something.

Re: Stuck in 1st.

So, I can only assume that the old one is now sitting in the gearbox. Is this something that I can address without pulling the entire gearbox out? I am just weighing up it being something I can do over the weekend, verses sending it down to the local mechanics to pull to bits do. My main concern is ...

Re: Stuck in 1st.

Looking at the parts list - I can't see a part number?

Is this a rubber or metal part normally?

Re: Stuck in 1st.

Also, we noticed (much to our surprise) that the plate that holds the gear shaft down into the housing is loose, but about 1cm. Looking at the parts list, it seems that it is missing the ring/washer/seal that goes on top of the ball, below the metal plate with the 3 bolts. Why? Who knows. There isn'...

Stuck in 1st.

Morning guys - another day, another challenge. While in the process of replacing my Master Clutch Cylinder recently, the 1 developed another problem - it won't come out of first. I had to start it up in first a couple of times to move it around, and now, the clutch disengages the drive, the hi/lo ra...

Canvas hood

Hi guys - just planning the summer project of (among other things) - converting the Stage 1 to a canvas top. I would assume you guys are familiar with http://allwheeltrim.co.uk/ who do a kit. The question I have is - does anyone know of a system that also incorporates a decent roll cage, and ideally...

Re: Hello all - project finally back underway!

Yeah, with hindsight, I went in fairly blind.

But Nick and Tim have already been very helpful.

I do want to learn to do a lot of this myself, but good to know those guys are also there.

Hello all - project finally back underway!

If anyone want's to follow the development/restoration of the Landrover - it's going to be doco'ed here - starting with a dodgey wof - http://thebloke.co.nz/featured/beaurepaires-waiuku-warrant-fitness-nightmare-wof/ Nearly back to where it should have been in the first place, then I can get on with...

Re: Scratching my head - Headlamp issue.

Try it with the bulb from the working side so you are sure the lamp is correct. Tried a second lamp with the same issue. Volt drop on the supply cable caused most likely by a dodgy connector block. Unlikely to be the earth as the main beam works ok. Despite low beam voltage being present once a sig...

Re: Scratching my head - Headlamp issue.

To clarify - I have measured 12volts at the connector - I will check anyway though - becase I realise that 12 volts but no light doesnt make a lot of sense.
