Does anyone have an oil cooler on their Stage One?
Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for my viscous fan?

Stage One sloshing in the mud
We had our annual East Coast rally this weekend. It rained 10 inches over the course of the weekend. Things were a complete washout. The off-road trails became too washed out to be any sort of fun. Never-the-less, I got to slosh around in some fields and had a little fun. http://www.geocities.com/fi...

Export Paperwork
I wish I could add something meaningful to this conversation but.... I never met the Welsch fellow that I bought my truck. I had a garage collect the Land Rover and the seller just threw the V5 document in with the truck. He did not fill out any of it. I fabricated a bill of sale and signed it for t...

lots of questions...Carb and oil related
I was looking at my oil filter area today. I noticed a small diaphragm arrangement coming off of it to an electric wire. I assume this is the electric oil pressure sensor for a pressue gauge. Am I right? There was another plug with an electric wire coming from it which I assumed was the idiot light ...

Too funny that you know the gearbox's mated engine....
I will look into those things - starting with the easier of them. I might switch from 30wt oil to 50wt. I am told that may be some of my problem.

oil light comes on at idle
My idiot oil light comes on at idle.
It goes off when the engine revs just a little.
Is my engine about to blow up or do I need to increase the idle speed a little?

Leaky Radiator
Where on your radiator is it leaking? I am looking for ideas on how to find my suspect water thief. I have heard the overheating is a problem with the Stage Ones. I have also heard the the radiator is unique to this in-between model and hard to source a replacement when they get old, leaky or clogge...

broken hot wire
I took a lot of parts apart and discovered that the 12volt wire leading to the reverse switch on the transmission was broken about 12 inches from the transmission. I have no idea where the other end is - or where it should hook up. Next question - can someone point me to a wiring diagram for the Sta...

Back Up lights switch
My reverse lights do not work. I took them apart at the lens and the bulbs look OK and the sockets look OK. (I have not put a multi-meter on it yet.) I wanted to visually inspect the switch on the transmission to make sure that the wires were still attached and everything was plugged in like it shou...

Another Oil Filter Question
My Stage One just arrived last week. I am working to perform all of the preventive maintenance as I start out on it. I want to get the oil changed - but I have no idea what size oil filter to put on it. The old one is worn bare - no label. The parts catalogs in the US to do cover this non-NADA model...

Customs Agent
My bill came to almost $200 - but a lot of that was the actual customs fees or port fees or loading and unloading fees. The part of the $200 that went into the broker's pocket was only about $80.

Thread HiJacK
I used E.H. Harms as my customs broker. It cost me about $80 for them to clear the paperwork. That is really cheap - if you ask me.
I did not HAVE to use them. but, it made my life easier.
