Over Drive - Trans Tunnel Install

I finally got my over drive installed on my gearbox. I installed the proper Stage One shifting levers and am now trying to put the trans tunnel back on. Here, I am stuck. I cut a small hole in the tunnel per the instructions - but the small hole is not enough. There needs to be a great big hole to a...

see Ginga for shifting levers

For those seeking the proper shifting levers - see Ginga. He has a pattern from genuine parts to re-create new parts.

Overdrive on E-Bay for sale - In UK

Currently going very cheap - that will probably change. It does not have the proper shifting levers for a Stage One - but I think Ginga can sort that out for you from pattern parts.

That could be me

I have a unknown age / condition LT95 gearbox in the floor of the garage. I bought it because it was attached to an overdrive. I think it came from a Range Rover. It does not have a bell housing attached. I have my Stage One tore to bits now - for a seperate project. The Stage One's gearbox has the ...

All-in-one unit

It looks like the Starter and solenoid are intergrated rather than seperate as in a Series III. Is that right?

None of those parts catalogs list a Stage One - so I was cross matching to a Range Rover Classic - is that what you did?

Starter Question

I am getting my Land Rover sprayed with a bed liner. So, it is not with me at the moment and at the shop where it will be sprayed. The project to get this done has gone on a long time - as these custom one off type of things are apt to do. And we all know what happens to Land Rovers over time - they...

You possibly spoke to Creed Evans?

Did you contact Big Sky Rovers? Creed Evans, the owner, has a reputation for having extreme opinions on all things. Do some searching on his name in google to get a more complete picture. He also sells imported Candadian Defender parts to Series owners as an upgrade path so the Stage One is a threat...

Haggle

The seller of this truck might move on his price (might not... but might). I have seen the stuff he moves and it is generally spendy but always top quality.

A LHD Stage One is a pretty rare beast and this one does look good. If nothing else, it is good sleepy time dream material.

Price

I think he wants $30K USD but he says that it is mint. It is probably up near West Yorkshire / Huddersfield.

I am actually checking those 4x4 hire links now - they are all located down Soouff and I am visitig more up north but they are a great launching point.

Thanks!!

LHD 5 Door Stage One in great shape

The guy I deal with in the UK has this very pretty Stage One for sale. It is a LHD making it ideal for the US or other non-UK market.

Trailer Light

What does the trailer indicator light on the center dash panel indicate to you?

Why does mine always flash with the first flash of the turn signal and then never again?
