So, surgery on or new chassis and firewall, some minor engine maintenance. Could make a very good wagon and at a reasonable price by the look of it.

I personally would not be at all concerned about the dings. They give it character ;)

Fine looking van mate. The red looks really good on it and it looks to be nice and straight.

Sure it'll cost more to run than a Kia, but would you have wanted one those? ;)

Yes ABS TC HDC all on. Have ordered a Nanocom see what happens when it's reset. OK. Common problem. I have an odd lump in the road at the end of my street that when I apply the brakes at the wrong time they all come on and chimes angrily at me. I just ignore it now ;). You referring to the 3 amigos?

Probably a faulty sensor, but get someone with a Testbook and reset it, then see if they come back. They may not, in which case it was just crud data in the computer, but if they do then the testbook program can check the sensors, etc.

Ollie, Good choice :) Yes, first have it all serviced and replace all the fluids just so you know it has been done and then get into a regular routine of performing a service every 5000km. You can download from various sources Series 3 workshop manuals but I would recommend buying the Haynes Series ...
