I haven't got one on either, but when I bought it there was a clip on the back end and some small hook on the front. Don't know if it was originally on it.. I now have fitted a piece of 18 mm plywood to cover the complete seatbox fixed with 6 small bolts in rivenuts. (with opening over battery offco...

I was also planning to "go large" but I guess it won't be as straightforward as is seems. I think my plan is to have my 3.5 overhauled and maybe put in another camshaft for some more torque if possible, overhaul the gearbox and fit a new clutch etc. I'd also love to hear a complete story o...

The weber conversion sounds very nice and fitting seems like a straight forward job, but I haven't heard a lot about people using it with LPG conversion.
Anyone here who has some experience with it, or knows who has?

I have brought my car to a specialist shop where they build me a custom stainless one. Only one small absorbtion damper and some fluctuation in the diameter made it sound really great (you can wake me up for it 8) ) and I have a lot more power in the lower revs. The people asked me before they start...

Jon, What about using normal 16" rims with spacers, it should solve the offset problem. I've got 235 x 85 x 16" on it now, but I am still in love with the look of the 1 ton. Already got parabolics on, and making some longer shackles shouldn't be a problem. Changing the diff angle a few deg...

9.00 x 16 on Stage one?

Anyone tried fitting big 9.00 x 16 tyres under a stage one?
Looks awesome on a 1 ton 109, but I doubt if it wil fit..

Improves the gearing a bit also

Because my old 3.5 engine is starting to get worn out I want to replace it or get in refurbished. If I had the original engine in I would never have thought of replacing it, but the former owner already replaced that one by a second hand range rover one. Most people at different garages I spoke told...

Sounds you had axactly the same problems as I had (posting on previouse page)

I agree with you, don't buy these manifolds if you don't want to work on them too much..

LOL Jonnyboy
Eventhough I am not planning to put another 6 colours on it in the future :D

First I wanted to make it the original Yellow, but after a while I started to like masai red more and more.
Sounds like I now joined the clan of masai red lovers..?

Don't know on what car it was, but I presume it not being a V8.
I am interested too, but I rather first replace my engine before I start working on the winch.

It is already fitted in it but hard to see from this picture. It is a capstan directly driven by the crankshaft.

Still have to connect it and fit hand-throttle on it.

@ basil, those are my hawaii flowers  Whole interior of the car is covered with them. My favorite hobby is windsurfing and this brings me, lets see, in the right mood.. The length and with of the roof provides just enough space to hang 2 surfboards against it + some other gear. I also have a si...

I have fitted tubular exhaust manifolds for a 110 to my stage one. You have to make rather dramatic changes to it if you want to make it fit. My car is left hand drive so you might have to turn the story around if yours is rhd. De right hand side of the car is the easiest side. The only problem I ha...
