Re: Ebay again

I love the over the top Australian "Roo" bars. They are all a little different but all right out of the props department from the Mad Max movie series

Re: Lack of Power, Help please.

I am not sure I fully understand what your issue is but.... maybe your carb float is out of adjustment and you are running out of fuel in your fuel bowl of the carb. I am not sure what carb you are running so I could be talking bollox.

Re: Original airbox and fittings.....

I imported my truck from the UK to the USA. I had a local shop in the UK help me on that end and I handled stuff myself on my end. I used the Land Rover Centre at Huddersfield because they had a good reputation and the shop was close to my wife's parents house in the UK and made it easy to visit the...

Re: Original airbox and fittings.....

For a reference... this is what the air cleaner / filter assembly looked like on my Stage One when I imported it from Wales/UK to USA in 2006. It was missing some of the little rubber feet that secure it to the top of the engine. That is why it is a little "off" in its alignment and sits a...

Importing this from New Zealand to US?

Are you coming with it? Are you selling it? Where would we see this truck in the USA and when?

Re: Get the most power out of a Stage 1 3.5L V8

I think it has been covered but I will pile on with similar guidance. The Rover 3.5 will only grunt so hard. I think I have seen internet stories of "race prepared" 3.5 V8's getting near the 200hp range but I do not think that is a very practical approach to an off road machine. I think yo...

Re: Front Drive Shaft - Double Cardon Centering Kit

To close the loop on this repair. It is a pain in the backside. The manual says that the "ball" simply pulls off and it does not. It took great destructive powers to remove it. That said - it all went back together well and it appears to have been the source of the clicking sound I was hea...

Re: Restoration

Just to ask.... why did you not reassemble to whole axle on the bench where it is easy to reach and then put tires on it and wheel it under the frame for re-install. I did that with mine and it worked very well because the tires "jacked" or held the axle in position.

Re: Restoration

Super nice and jealous..... I want one. Our Club has an independent shop owner that provides us with really good support. He has this thing that looks like a industrial dishwasher from a submarine that he racks parts in and spins the door shut and it goes through about a 30 minute jet clean cycle wi...

Re: Front Drive Shaft - Double Cardon Centering Kit

Yes - I could just build a new entire driveshaft but I hate to dispose of the original just for a single worn out part. I think I can get this back together for less than $200 total. A fellow USA Stage One owner reported getting a new front drive shaft built for about $500 - so I will be ahead a lit...

Re: Front Drive Shaft - Double Cardon Centering Kit

So I spent some quality time with GOOGLE and the Stage One Supplemental Repair Manual and I found what I was looking for. It does not seem like that bad of a job once they explain the trick to getting the ball off.

Time to order parts and see what I can tear up on my own.

Front Drive Shaft - Double Cardon Centering Kit

(I know many of you also monitor the Facebook Stage One page - so apologies for the double post) I am looking for someone who has experience replacing the "centering kit" on the Stage One front double cardon prop shaft. Mine appears to need replacement. The first photo shows the drive shaf...
