I'd recommend postimage.org for photos. It's designed for message board photo sharing and they promise to ensure the photos remain accessable.
As for my Stage 1 restoration, well I plan to get cracking when the weather warms and dries as I'll be working in the open mostly.

Re: Fuel Pump
Fitted new pump today. Turned key, listened to it pumping the fuel up to the carbs, waited a few minutes to make sure it had gotten a decent amount of fuel through, pulled out the choke, and cranked; started first time!
Well, that's first problem out of the way.

Re: Alice to the road!!
Well, I've read through your entire thread for inspiration. I am about to embark on my own restoration journey. I bought Captainslow's Stage One in September this year and had it transported down to me in the SE corner of England. It had a complete spare LT95 gearbox with overdrive fitted in the bac...

Re: Fuel Pump
Quick update. The aftermarket stage 1 V8 fuel pump fitted by PO less than 3 months ago, used only to get it started and on and off the transporter, is as dead as a door nail. Absolute junk! I've ordered an OEM replacement, so hope that fares a bit better. I have no idea why the world is so keen to b...

Re: Limestone Station Wagon
Well, I'm glad I asked. I was/am curious why so many threads just stopped. Great looking vehicles. Has given me a bit more inspiration to get mine sorted.

Re: Fuel Pump
It has an aftermarket version of the original 109 V8 type (PRC3343), bolted and earthed to the chassis, and has fuel inlet and outlet pipes. Very simple pump as I understand it.

Fuel Pump
being unfamiliar with Series Land Rovers, can anyone tell me if I should hear the fuel pump running when I turn on the ignition? Mine (a new aftermarket replacement) was making an obvious and loud pumping noise but has gone silent. I'm wondering (before I pull it apart to investigate) if the pump ha...

Me too. I liked the look of the ribbed ones Pegasus had but the others I've seen look pretty cheap n nasty.

Re: New Owner
Have no account for that forum. Suggest you post pictures to this forum. I assume you're referring to my disco thread link in signature. That's there for anybody interested but is not in itself relevant to a stage 1 forum. I was intending to create a thread here for my stage 1 restoration but do no...

Re: New Owner
It's your standard utility vehicle; 2 front doors, rear door, hard top and sides. Galvanised chassis and I think, a replacement bulkhead. Engine was rebuilt by RPI in the late 90's

New Owner
Hello all, It's been a while negotiating etc., but I have now taken on ownership of Captainslow's 1981 Stage One. I thought I'd best wait until I actually had the vehicle before introducing myself. I haven't formulated my restoration plan yet, but I intend to make as full a restoration as I can, alt...
