That all makes sense. I'm guessing that 109 V8s used the 88 rear mudflaps to avoid the unnecessary notch. I've also seen the Land Rover logo is black (uncoloured).
Kind regards,
George

Mudflaps
Hi,
Are the Stage 1 V8 mudflaps specific or generic LWB S3? I've also seen the logo in yellow or uncoloured, is there a right and wrong for Stage 1 production?
Kind regards,
George

Re: New clutch recommendations
Thanks Cliff, exactly my experience. Thanks 1275, I was surprised that genuine LR is still available, and that's what I have gone for.

New clutch recommendations
Managed to get myself stranded yesterday, the clutch went on me over the course of a few miles. Can't even select a few gears to get it rolling now that it's cooled down. Does anybody have any new clutch recommendations and reference numbers before I start playing? Quinton Hazell? Kind regards, George

Correct mirrors?
Hi, I've seen Stage 1s with Series 3, and Defender type mirrors. I also see the Defender type mirrors are sold as Series 3 too. Where all Stage 1s sold with Series 3 mirrors type only?

George

Does anyone know if any of the toy manufacturers produced a toy or model of the Stage 1 V8 in period?
