have been told its more likely to be the timing... so far so good but haven't had time to get it that hot so have to wait till the next time have to do some running around..

the carb has been on for over 12 months now, spoke to a chap today & he said its more likely to be the timing, so will adjust the distributor & see if it helps & if not il try it when it plays up again..

i think youd get away with fitting the 600 holy, you just might need to jet it down a bit, i was told you need at least a 500 holy for a v8, so 600 would or should be ok, might be a bit thirsty, ir you talk to real steel they would be able to give you the info you need. & yer it cert was a good ...

ive got an old points type with female oil pump drive, although said bit is a little worn, & is fitted with an after market electronic dizzy parts, also have a rangy coil for it, if you interested pm with an e-maill add & ill send you some pics of it. works ok i just put in a mallory set up.

how the hell could anything go wrong fitting a throttle cable? Neutral Neutral well where to start, took the old one off no probs, looked at peddle end to see how to do a small modd to allow for longer travel to accommodate the 4barrle webber carb, but that was saved for the next spare time slot, so...
