Land rover ony used stromberg's because at the time of the range rover launch su couldnt supply enough carb's for the rover car company and land rover. I swoppe...

Hi Larry, It might be different at the bottom where it meet's the gearbox crossmember, the best bet would be to ring Marshland's chassis as they would know for sure and would probally be able to supply you with an out rigger.

True, you can, but unless having suffered from low oil level in transfer box in my opinion only rebuilding transfer gears is not very usefull. The main gears have done the same amount of miles, so why not replacing them also? Better to open up everything once then twice.. Cost is a good reason, I h...

Transfer box and main gearbox are one part, se I think it's not very usefull to replaxe only the transfer gears.. I have the same "clunk" and it's getting worse. Replaced the front propshaft and it got a bit better. The front diff has loads of slack though. I think of replacing that but i...

Re: Your views on thermostats please chaps...

Hi Guys, I was puzzling over whether my Stage-1 V8 needs a thermostat? I've got three manuals, including the Range Rover green repair manual and none show a thermostat. Problem is that the bugger is running wayyyyy too cool. The temp clock does never move into the N bit. (C = cool, N = normal, H = ...

You can fit them if you use the spacer's but you must use the nut's that are for alloy wheel's, they do have a different profile to the steel wheel nut's :)
