Agreed. If the crack is small you could probably halt its advance with Aradite or Sikaflex 252, or something similar, and slap a smallish aluminium plate on the underside of the damaged area.

I think you have got some of your answer from the aulro forum. I haven't encountered this myself, but I would think that any cracking would result from stress fractures and possibly caused by the headlamps flexing. I would think that any remedial solution would best be performed by installing a back...

I use unleaded 95 octane in mine and no issues with it. But of course, given local conditions, YMMV.

As ever Stirling, some great watching :)

But mate, you came out altogether too clean with everyone else getting c*****d :p

The Stage 1 performed beautifully :D

But, what was that in the Rangie's exhaust - a dead wombat or something. ;)

Yes that does look good, but I agree on the bling

Pity about the weber though, but that can be changed. I have to say I am comfortable with the Strombergs on mine, especialy when we get a bit tilty ;)

Some pics might help, and is it on ebay or something so you can post a link with details.

Cheers

First off, what makes you think you are running hotter than you should be? Depending upon which thermostat you have the running temp should be 82C or 86C (IIRC, someone correct me if my numbers are wrong). I have heard conflicting reports about the viscous fan. Some say they usually offer no problem...

Breathers are required on diffs because when they get hot and you enter water that is higher than the hubs, the sudden cooling effect causes a very quick drop in air pressure and then for water to be drawn into the diff housing. The opposite can occur too when there is already water in the diff and ...

Nearly right. They are the breather pipes for the diffs, and yes, leave them there unless you get a snorkel, then attach them to that.

Check occasionally for splits in the pipes and that they are correctly connected on the diff tops.

You are exactly right on needing some more weight on the back. I'm sure you noticed where I put the spare tyre - right over the rear axle and I plan to mount the winch just infront of this point also under the tray as I have plenty of room there. The funny thing is that one of the advantages my car...

Stirling, Some excellent videos, as ever, but boy someone needs some lessons on how to hold a camera and frame the action. You know, the Ozzie bush is ok (though I like the NZ bush better for real sticky slushiness :p) I would prefer to see where the roaring V8 noise is coming from. That clay does l...
