map1275, thanks, I think I understand at long last. Is the SNT you refer to, the four digit TPM number I was using? Might it be possible Land Rover changed this over the years as they adopted different tyre brands, with very slight differences in rolling circumference? Anyway, decided it was far too...

Seb, Wot a good idea! Unfortunately I have subjected my better half to rather more of my obsession in the last two months than normal, so any further Land Rover related activities over the festive period are out of the question...we have my mother staying with us! How about a Saturday/Sunday towards...

Seasons Greetings, I opened this can of worms as the speedo in my Stage 1 seems to be reading too slow, by quite a margin, and I wanted to calculate my true mph/mpg. Having looked into it I discover all (UK) Stage 1's should have a 1376, yet mine has a 1408. map1275, surely a 1376 (Stage 1?) is not ...

Thanks Guys, Do feel quite lucky. :D Was aware galvanised chassis no longer available...a great shame. I guess this might help spares availability a little. Every cloud, eh! Mik, bad luck! Might have felt slightly for you if you hadn't already got such a nice truck! Having done several hundred miles...

Having done some research have learnt that the four digit number represents the turns, or revs, per mile...in other words a 1376 speedo requires 1376 turns of the cable for it to register exactly one mile. There are several variables to consider before being able to determine whether or not a correc...

Correcting Speedo
Hi, Have just purchased a Stage 1...which has been fitted with a standard 109" speedo. Have posted a request for a proper one, but in the meantime was wondering how to calculate true mph/mpg etc. Do I divide by 3.54 then multiply by 4.7 (diff ratios) or, as I expect, is there more to it? Tyres ...

Correct Speedo Required
Hi,
Anyone happen to have a proper Stage 1 speedo surplus to requirements? Should have "1376" along bottom of face (info found on this site!).
Regards,
John
