Re: Restoration
The beauty of restoration is you can always take a break for a sec if you're not feeling it!
Just got my engine out today.. virtually just a chassis, and it still has quite a bit of origional paint left on it!!
Keep safe.

Re: Stage 1 rebuild...
No, the photos don't show for me either. How do you know the engine and gearbox are both original to the vehicle? Do you have the numbers listed on registration docs or somewhere, or are you going by condition and originality of how things are looking after 38 years? I ask because my gearbox and fr...

Re: Satge 1 rebuild...
Other thoughts relate to engine and gearbox.. Thinking of doing the transfer ratio swap rather than rebuilding the fairy it has, I haven't got the proper linkage and a slightly higher gear set will be better for bimbling around. I'm not intending to do much towing.. The engine is getting a refresh b...

Stage 1 rebuild...
Right thought I'd take a minute to start with a few photos and a bit of a slower rebuild to Geofs! Mine is an origional 1981 Sation wagon with origional gearbox and engine.. I'll be rebuilding as a grey sand softtop station wagonfor scooting around the lanes.. Other than the colour change any chaneg...
