Re: Eastnor

Yep, felt like I had trench foot by the time the slurry started to clot up enough so we could go home. Shame – a good turnout and a good atmosphere made up for the average show (no fault on the organisers part). I thought the marshals did a brilliant job in impossible conditions. I think I saw your ...

Re: Eastnor

That's the plan if I can find the time to book the tickets :)

We're booked somewhere in the Cotswolds the week before so we thought we would extend the trip to Eastnor.

We don't belong to any clubs so we'll be flying solo.

No, I forgot to update my records at the time but I think from memory it sold for either 5 or 6k but I can't be totally sure. It is certainly the same vehicle though.

I kept a reference to a Stage1 cherry picker that sold within the last year or so. It could even be the one as pictured as I remember it being the same colour. It wasnt on the road but it was very complete and in reasonable condition. The reg was SRD 819Y which matches the b&w photo.

I’m working from memory here so don’t shoot me, but I think the expansion bottle is the same as what was fitted to MGB’s and/or Midgets. As for an upgrade I remember seeing something almost identical on a modern MG RV8 but in plastic  As for a repair; it should be easily soldered as the pipe i...

All owners should have a good understanding of the Stage1 in standard spec and everyone should have copies of the manuals but I would like to see something geared around subtle and desirable upgrades that the manual cannot help with e.g. Power Steering – this seems to be to Holy Grail Transfer Gear ...

You could buy the proper one on fleaBay for £195.00

Not cricket, but I just bypassed mine. No hot air enters the cab unless you have the fan on. If you need cool air just switch the air con flaps on

I would have thought that was obvious, but in answer to your question perhaps weight, size, gearing and stopping; or lack of it might be why - not to mention that a Stage1 V8 was designed that way  If you wanted performance then you should have bought a Range Rover  BTW – have you got a ...

Looks good, but I will comment on the green gasket you’ve made. Originally it would have had a felt washer over the actuator shaft sandwiched between the housing and actuator. A gasket isn’t suitable and I am worried because the actuator flange is prone to bending thus not allowing a vacuum seal bet...
