I can't see any way to remove the plastic grip from the lever, but it doesn't look to go over it ... Anyone know the part number for the ch...

Re: Auxiliary dash panel

Digging has revealed the closing panels were a military thing, might still fit some tough to tidy it up

Re: Auxiliary dash panel

He, that would make the gap smaller.
I'm thinking maybe the closing panels were used when the auxiliary dash was fitted, without any gauges in the dash bottom.
Well cast the new wider in normal S3 circles see what people have there I think, as this bit won't be stage 1 specific

Re: Hello/S1 Rebuild

Today the wiring is almost complete,
Everything works except the brake failure system - which has power going in, but not getting to any of the switches, and the balast resiostor which decided to melt instead of power anything

Re: Need some part numbers

For future reference the cable ties sold as replacements for prc1112 are not the same. They need a much smaller hole, so will not fit in place of the originals. They do the same job but access isn't easy to drill new, smaller holes

Auxiliary dash panel

Should there be any closing panels down to the dash tray. The aux panels themselves stop level with the top edge of the bottom dash, but that leaves space bellow the, for the wires to hand about looking messy. My millitary S3 has closing panels there, but the parts book suggests is just open on a no...

Battery cables

Could anyone take a quick look under there LR and tell me where the battery earth cables from. Know they come in the back of the seatbox, but not where the other end goes to (I know it could technically go to pretty much anything metal, but I'm trying to get it run right)

Re: Hazard wiring

Got the loom etc, (auto sparks sell it new for allot less than that) That was the cause of my problems trying to fit it all together, the plug in bits easy, the other wires were the issue ... Seems so simple now I understand how its working, Flasher relays ordered so hopefully all ok next weekend 8)

Re: Auxiliary gauges

Ill be having none of them then,
As I've got a nice lower dash without any cut outs.
Save running extra wires outside the loom for the others as well, which will look messy
Oil pressure on a V8 will be depressing anyway - probably best not to know
