Gonna run the engine whats in there now and hopefully rebuild the original and fit it at a later date.

engine & gearbox

While i have the engine and box out is there anything worth checking or changing apart from oil and filters? The clutch looks worn, so think a new 1 will be going in. Chris.

Burn the rubber out, push the centre tube out then hacksaw through the outer tube in 2 places opposite each other and use a chisel to tap it out. It takes a while but was the only way i could get mine to move. Anyone know an easier way cause i still have 2 to do!

part no frc3127 page 1l03, Come to think of it i might struggle to get a torque wrench on all of the bolts, was looking in the workshop manual and that was the only one i couldnt find, tight will do for me!

swivel housing to axle torque

Anyone know torque for the bolt's holding the swivel housing to the axle? Also when i removed the front brake back plates, part no frc3127 which looks like a spacer was fitted on the front of the back plates, after lookin in the parts catalogue it appears to fit behind. which is correct? thanks chris
