In that case, dump the V8 and stick in something newer like a small block chevy. Or do what the Aussies ahve been so good at and put in an Isuzu 4DB1. The Chev will require a face plate for the box but I believe the Isuzu will bolt straight in. Coupla weeks work at most.

It is sometimes difficult to see cracks in the cap, but if it were that small you'd still get a spark, albeit intermittent. When you say a 1.5 mm movement I assume you mean it swivels by that much, which it shouldn't so again, you should still get a spark but timing would be affected. If it were the...

Looks like you fell off to the left. One of the issues with a long wheel base, once you lose forward momentum and without diff lockers, they go where they want sometimes. Still, gave the troops something to gawp at eh.
