How do you know if the Strombergs are worn or not? my landie failed the emissions test!!! it was putting out 10% Co content rather than under 4.5%!!!!! Its a new engine and I tuned it using the colortune beforehand!!!! had one of the Stromberg to pieces.....should the needle wobble side to side???? ...

you're right Horst. I do the contact points checks myself. I replace them at every service and set the dwell angle myself. i know then its running in correct spec. oh and get the genuine HT leads cos they are of the correct length form the distributor to each spark plug. the original V8 started developing low oil pressure and i was getting concerned about it. that garage had a look at it, the oil pump was ok, the oil was fine, the oil pressure switch was replaced. So the mechanic took the sump off and found a bolt in the sump. it had come out of the main bearing cap...

Larosto no i didn't get my money back from these idiots!!!!!! cost me a lot of money!!!! they are called Mercia 4X4. the V8 cost me £1500!!! and the labour and parts cost me at least £600!!!!! bastards!!!!! it came back to me worst than when i left it there!!!!!

I bought a non-steering lock chkoe cable with the correct part number for the stage 1. the standard steering lock type for the S3 is too short and the one for the straight 6 is still too short!!! will you let me know if you can find the correct steering lock choke cable for the stage 1?

Land Rover Heritage weekend at Gaydon

is anyone going to the Land Rover Heritage weekend at
the Motor Museum at Gaydon? there were NO Stage One's
at all there last year!! I'm thinking of going in my Stage 1.
