Thank you very much, I am happy if you like my work. greeting Frank I still had an e-fan in the fund. The placement is due to the fact that, with a littl...

Re: some exotic Stage 1 in Germany

Cooler mounted. The solder seams often tear on the small tubes. Prophylactically, there was a reinforcement on Sandy with such two-component putty https://up.picr.de/38160590hs.jpg https://up.picr.de/38160591dk.jpg I always mount the hose clamps for these things on a suitable mandrel first. The tran...

Re: some exotic Stage 1 in Germany

We would not normally use gaiters in this part of the world. Mud, grit, and water can get trapped inside and cause rust and pitting on the balls. I have had quite good experiences with the gaiters. I also don't assemble them as specified. I place the seam at the bottom and also cut a hole at the lo...

Re: some exotic Stage 1 in Germany

Go on I didn't like the large amount of sealant on the front cover of the LT95. I'd rather have a look. http://wuerziworld.adbt2.ath.cx/tr/tr15.gif https://up.picr.de/37912549zg.jpg https://up.picr.de/38028459yz.jpg https://up.picr.de/38028461da.jpg https://up.picr.de/38028543fa.jpg The sealant woul...

Re: some exotic Stage 1 in Germany

Take care of heat insulation, see exhaust in many places going close to chassis, shaft, etc. Hi tomo yes, you have to be careful. I have a distance of at least 1.5 cm everywhere. The Sandy is a big car but there is little space for the exhaust. I will attach the exhaust to strategic places to avoid...

Re: some exotic Stage 1 in Germany

Quite impressive I must say. I do standard Stage 1 HT now but it goes somehow slow. Hi tomo, ... I'm not as fast as it is here either. The construction of Sandy is a retrospective. I'm a little further on ... The parts from the galvanizing are also back. The holes drilled out again and one or the o...

Re: some exotic Stage 1 in Germany

Fantastic work Frank, looks amazing!! I know that Sandringham from old - it used to be owed by Rossway, an estate local to me and was used on their shoots in the '90s. The estate got sold early 2000's and I lost track of it. Story goes it was a cancelled export vehicle. Used to be a regular site on...

Re: some exotic Stage 1 in Germany

That means that I would have the possibility to convert the drive of the 3rd axis to Perentie. I still had a Salisbury from Stage 1. The thing has been in the fund for a long time and is waiting to be reused. And the proverbs come true again. >> If you rest, you rust << For me it was dry but I think...

Re: some exotic Stage 1 in Germany

Holy crap Frank - nice finds ! Do you also have the Thomas Winch for the drive ? Hi Michael, Unfortunately, I don't (yet) have them. The usage profile envisaged for the Big Sandy does not stipulate that a winch must be used. I have other cars that the bottom PTO fits on. The 8000lb Thomas is great....
