The drive gear for the speedo is downstream from the transfer gears, so changing transfer ratios will not affect the speedo accuracy. The only thing that will affect it is tyre sizes, or changing the ratio of the axle differentials.

The logistics might be a bit too much to handle, but I will take as many chassis, axles, propshafts, radiators, front end body panels, bulkheads, floor panels, transmission tunnels and seatboxes as can be squeezed into a standard shipping container. (Assuming that prices are low - with this quantity...

Shame you are on the wrong end of the planet, I have a spare chassis here, they are quite plentiful here as our army just disposed of their 400 stage1s. A friend is using one to replace a s2 chassis which rusted. Would you like to act as my buying agent? I would be very interested in the possibilit...

Ignoring that first letter 'S', which may have been added when the engine was reconditioned, the key figures are 20D, which is a 3.5 litre, 8.13:1 compression carburetted engine with Pulsair emissions control, from a manual transmission Range Rover 1983-85. Terry, how quickly do you need it moved? If the answer is "not for a few weeks, provided it is paid for", I'll take it and send you a cheque straight away. Transport will take a while to arrange, I still haven't got my 110 V8 HCPU on the road yet. Presumably it needs a new chassis? I have ...

As promised - a mini review of the Aldon Ignitor (Pertronix) electronic ignition. It is a sealed electronic module that fits in place of the points and condensor, using the same mounting screws. Fitting is dead easy following the very clear instructions, should only take about 10 minutes. There are ...

I have just ordered an ignition module from Aldon Automotive which I think is the same as the Pertronix one, to fit a 90 V8 with the 35D8 distributor. I will report back when I have fitted it.

Darren, do you have a temperature gauge which works? Assuming the vehicle was running fine before and has only just started to run rough, I am wondering whether it has overheated and warped the cylinder heads. Those compression readings are shockingly bad. If there were sticking valves, I would expe...

I owned one for a while - no evidence that it had ever been repainted. But I've never seen another one the same colour.

Another nice early 110 V8

County Station Wagon, looks to be very original with low recorded mileage:

Auction finishes very shortly, but worth contacting the vendor anyway, if it doesn't sell and you fancy one of these.
