You lucky bugger.

Did your stage 1 come from the army with the pto on the t/c?

I just put a safari roof on my stage 1. It doesn't have holes like you are talking about.

I have a small electric one on the front of mine, permanently mounted. It makes absolutely no difference to the cooling.

I too would love a setup like the one up there^^^

Hey disco. Welcome. I have an ex-army stage 1 too. Mine was on the Chathams, lucky for me the chassis etc was undersealed from new, and it had only done 9000k when it was de-mobbed. Even though it's only done 40000 now, the motor is on its way out, near to no compression in one cylinder. The chassis...

Interesting, primsil. Did the shaft out the bottom of the box line up ok? I looked at that, but thought that I woul...

I had a serious look at this the steering rod that goes from the end of the steering column to the PAS box needs more room than the inner wing provides you will have to fit a defender inner or cut the inner about to let it turn. Cheers. Not too much of a problem to modify the inner wing. The hard b...

Power steering mod

I've been thinking about doing a power steering mod to the stage 1. I can get an early 4 bolt rangerover box, pump, reservoir and hoses for NZ$200. By the looks of things, with a small chassis mod at the front crossmember, and some lining up for the steering box, a mounting bracket for the pump, it ...

Nice work Manfred. I've most of the bits to rebuild my 3.5 when I finally get around to it. I've got some new 60 thou over 10.5:1 Hi-comp pistons, a new stump puller cam from the UK (not sure of specs, but ground for torque I was told), a near new mitutoyo stainless double row adjustable timing gear...

I have no idea why mine was doing it once it got hot though? A mystery. But hey, at least it was a mystery solved. LOL

But, I need a valve too! I have pulled mine apart, cleaned it, lubed it etc, but it still is as stiff as heck.
