Re: Prop shaft
Don't know where you have got that number from, which doesn't even look like a common Land Rover part number to me. The correct part number for the complete 109V8 front prop shaft assembly is FRC2175. If you can even find a good one, expect to pay well over £1,000 for it new. Craddocks have them lis...

Re: Stage 1 V8 6x6 Cherrypicker
I'd give them a ring in the morning, as I notice the magazine article gave a different email address - swinfieldcooper@btconnect.com - and I don't know how often either are checked!

Re: Southern Electric Stage 1 V8s
There's an article about it in March's Classic Land Rover magazine (Issue 22) but it didn't include these old photos of it.

Re: Southern Electric Stage 1 V8s
Can't resist posting this photo which I took today of one of my Stage 1s parked next to the very Sandringham 6x6 pictured above!

Re: Stage 1 V8 6x6 Cherrypicker
Realised when I took this picture of it today parked next to one of my Stage 1s and looked at the reg, that the Stage 1 Sandringham 6x6 at my local garage is the very same vehicle pictured at the beginning of this thread! https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5718/20523396985_e6eb757c19_z.jpg Land Rover St...

Re: V8 stickers
firemanshort, I believe unpainted pop rivets on the rear tub (and any hard top) are a fairly reliable indication that your vehicle has not been repainted (and that it has if they are painted) - or at least that those particular panels have or have not been.

Re: V8 stickers
Looking at the pics of your truck that you've posted, I would think it has almost certainly been repainted - at any rate the replacement doors (and wings?) appear to be a very good colour match for the rest (I'm assuming you put the V8 sticker on the rear) It's a great-looking truck.

Re: V8 stickers
My limestone truck's still got its original paint, getting pretty thin in places now, and it has a full set of stickers which I'm sure are original. My other truck was a Land Rover press vehicle and originally silver, but has been resprayed a couple of times - I've replaced the missing sticker on th...

Re: Choke cable and handbrake
Think I've now found the right answer to your original question and it is, as I suspected above, NRC5067 I came across this old thread https://www.stage1v8.org.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=918&p=5067&hilit=steering+lock#p5067 in which, in his usual knowledgeable but unhelpful style, map...

Re: Choke cable and handbrake
Sorry I couldn't be more help with the choke cable. It's 13 years since I repaired one and 3 since I replaced the other, and I don't have a good memory, so I can't remember how they fitted, only that I didn't have any trouble fitting the one I bought from Dunsfold, not at the steering lock end at an...
