Howdy Aidan,

Welcome aboard :)

Now, about those pictures ;)

Most questions should be able to be answered here and don't worry too much about asking questions that may have been asked before.

5- Some suggested to put the 2 chains "diagonally opposed", but personaly I think that will cause a bad diff. effect :!: , I don`t know about your experienc but think it was a mistake from me to put them "diagonally opposed" but I had too as I could not put them both on rear bec...

Hi Dani, First off, this link might help to answer some of your questions. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/general-chat/60329-mud-snow-chains.html Secondly, it looks in the video as though you didn't your centre diff lock engaged, but either way you need four chains not two. Having two is potentially dang...

You might better off posting your query to the NZLROC group on Yahoo Groups. They look a lot like the Jeep Service/Triple Traction SATs. I've seen them on a couple of vehicles, most recently on a really really nice ex-army series 1 restoration at the Waiuku Steam Fair. They look the deal but have no...

Welcome aboard Ray :)

Would be good to see some pics of your truck and the canopy especially. Does the zf box eliminate the CDL?

Cheers
Alan

Sorry, been a little occupied lately.

But... Good god man!!! That machine is absolutely fantastic! I mean, I mean [sputtering] it has shiny damn paint in the engine bay and the ali on the carbies - you can actually see it

When you're finished with it, find a museum for it. :)

Ollie, have you considered joining a Landie Club? You often get access to bits and pieces from members that you otherwise might have to buy at full price. If there are bits that you can't afford, perhaps you could offer to do other things like helping out in the shed instead of payment in cash. Just...

Seb, don't worry about it. If the battery is charging the alternator is doing its job. So far as the W connection is concerned, umm, it can be used for a number of purposes e.g. copnnect your tachometer to it to get your rev count. On mine that is coinnected to the vehicle's split charge system and ...

Yeah. Sounds like the alternator is fine so you need to look elsewhere for the dimming lights. Do you have a split charge system?

There are a number of alternators used on the Stage 1. Amperages vary from 80A- 120A and it may be 12V or 24V. Of course when you "exact same as the Series III", which SIII are you referring to? The 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, diesel,...? Have a look in the "Series 3 Optional Parts Catalo...

Hi Dave, I would probably loosen off the bolts on the inside. Sounds like it has just jammed in position and needs to be released. I'd also have a can of CRC handy to give a bit of a squirt to help move things along. Once loosened I'd just gently jiggle around it until it comes loose. No point in ge...
