After stripping the remainder of the stage 1 and RangeRover axles today, it has become apparent that the axle end flanges are of a different diameter and the internal locating rings are the opposite way round. So, not quite as easy as first thought, but where there is a will there is a way!!! Curren...

Started to see if their is any truth in any of the rumours about fitting disc brakes to the front axle. So far, it is looking very very do-able, using the parts from the early 2 door classic RangerRover which has the six bolt flange as opposed to the later seven bolt type. The RR cv joint WILL FIT t...

Have now got both front wings off to allow for easier access for welding the footwells, also made engine and gearbox extraction easier. One of the bellhousing bolts is so corroded that it won't let go!!!! Will have to drill it out to remove the gearbox, which by the way is surpless to requirements!!...

Whilst the engine is out, the one thing that everyone neglects is the cooling system. If the radiator is not in tip top condition, it is very easy to over temp the engine, a condition that the V8 does not like at all!! Make sure ALL the hoses are in good condition with no cracks, and use a good qual...

Will see what is what, when I get to the front axle. This is something that has been the topic of many a conversation, but I have not had the necessary parts to hand, until now. The main issue seems to be if the pivot centre of the swivel housing and the cv joint are in the same place. Will have to ...

Have got to replace the rear tub supports, as they are looking very rotten and with the ...
