Re: Information required asap - LWB spring mounts

Look up at his post on Dec 4 - his old springs were broke. Para's are similar if not cheaper option to factory leaf set ups, as well. (... at least here in the USA they are - not sure about in OZ, NZ, or UK)

Re: Gearbox crossmember

I think the cross member is universal and those tabs are for the 4cyl gear boxes.

Re: Steering damper

I am looking at replacing my steering damper as part of a major overhaul I am about to perform on my truck. In the USA - Rovers North is our largest domestic vendor of Land Rover parts. They sell an Old Man Emu (OME) damper that they say fits an early Range Rover, Disco I, as well as a Series III. T...

Re: Fall Land Rover Rally Season - Eastern United States

Radiator replaced about 5 years ago. Heater core replaced last year.

I think it might be related to an air bubble / low coolant - or - a bad viscous clutch on the fan. I dunno - it is a work in progress....

Re: Fall Land Rover Rally Season - Eastern United States

There was no tail slamming in photo #4. I did have a receiver hitch recovery point that rubbed. I find that the scary rear overhang does hit from time-to-time but is not as bad as it looks. I bumped into something with my front wing about three years ago. I am going to fix it.... really... I just ne...

Fall Land Rover Rally Season - Eastern United States

I am sharing a few photos of my Stage One going through some paces at the Rover Owners Association of Virginia Mid-Atlantic Rally (Giles County, VA) and the Old North State Land Rover Society URE13 (Uwharrie National Forest, NC). Re: Spigot bush or release bearing

The layshaft bearing on my LT95 has been noisy since I bought my truck - over 10 years and 50K miles ago. At first, I was really anxious about it. But now - I just live with it. I have been told that even with new replacement bearings, there remains some noise due to the design. P.S. - Another way t...

Re: Oil leak from prop side of rear axel

I had this issue a while back. I just replaced the oil seal ... and had miserable results. It leaked worse than before. I then did the job the second time and used a speedy sleeve. The rear differential was used in a 1970's model Ford truck that is common the USA so the speedy sleeve was easy to sou...

Re: Limestone Station Wagon

That wood stove looks awesome. I did some research - lost about one hour of productivity from the day staring at YouTube videos and I am really impressed. That said - it ain't a cheap piece of kit and hard to find in the USA.

oh... nice truck - glad to see you out enjoying it.

Re: Limestone Station Wagon

Ok on the transfer gears. I placed a "how-to" guide on this forum a few years back on how to swap the xfer gears yourself so I am familiar with that. There are lots of different ratios available. Do you know what ratio you have? I put the .9:1 in my truck and it is great until I start pull...

Re: Hello from Oxfordshire

She is a beauty! The Stage One was never originally imported to the USA - so the "TOX" or "De-TOX" is not an American specification (this time). Since all Stage One's are older than 25 years of age - they are all eligible for import. They just need the engines to be as they were ...

Re: Limestone Station Wagon

nice truck... I love seeing them with the Land Rover V8 stickers on the rear shoulders. I assume you are in England / UK? Did you fit the Richards Chassis? My Stage One is just about done with its chassis and I am considering pulling the trigger and buying a new one. It would cost serious coin to ge...

Re: Annoying problem with fuel supply

Could you possibly have a loose line / loose fitting - that sucks air (more air under more demand / heavy throttle)? This could effect one line (tank) more than the other line (tank)...??? I had a problem like this on my Edelbrock and it was solved by adjusting the float height / needle valve adjust...

My hand book does not show the Hazard wire sub diagram.

Do you know what the other two relays do?
