hey it's a v8 :) Two years ago did 600 miles + fully loaded with camping gear and with a 16ft Canadian Canoe on the roof and on the Motorway got a respectable 22mpg at 55mph, with careful road management - eg not slowing down and accelerating too much. Winding roads anther matter, no more that 12pmg...

not fitted yet, had to tidy up the garage first. This weekend the task is to gain brownie points so I can spend time doing the engine. Have a few deliveries this week of bolts, the correct water pump (so I have spare RR one...) gaskets etc.

secured the LR 3.5. Was part of the last batch of factory recon 3.5's that it appears mayby Duckworth LR bought. Chap bought it from them 2 yrs ago crated for a TVR project, since then it's been unused with the ports blocked and turned frequently. Just looked an these originally retailed from LR at ...

I did but it was taking up space.
So 3.5 EFI engine to Carb conversion - is it as simple as taking off the EFI guff and slapping on the old carbs and dizzy?
Can I do the same with a 3.9?

That engine is knackered
Have spent lots of time persuading the current SD1 engine to keep going, new cam, bit's n bobs etc but fundamentally the oil pressure is non existent and it's dying. Idles and revs lovely but as soon as a load is placed on it (eg moving out of the garage) it sounds like someone is trying to get out ...
