Took some hours to get the 'box and engine lined up, ended up removing the bumper as the crane was fouling it and couldn't get the last few cm onto the splines.

1st world
lol! "most first world" - well in the UK as long as it passes the relevant test - no worries and for the last 10 or so tests mine has passed with the stuff disabled.

What do I need to do to remove the remainder, doesn't seem to do anything. the exploded diagram looks quite complex so can't believe it is still actua...

manifolds cleaned and studs replaced where needed, no more bits left on the old lump now to move over. Have just ordered a couple of missing bolts and new clutch kit, plate was quite worn and while the engine is out it seems mad not to replace.

Seats
If you get the basis etc, upgrade them with some High backs and pads from Sams trim - looks authentic but safer and more comfy.

Dipstick tube in and a few other bits. the hilarious bit was turning the engine by hand and seeing the red caps installed by Land rover that bl...

Just in case
A few observations if mixing bits. The SD1 timing marks are in a different plan compared to a stage 1 or indeed a range rover, might save a few confused thoughts. Also for reference the high and low marks are in a different place on the dipstick...!

The truck looks great, Masai Red = Perfect and from the pix in pretty good shape. Not a plate I've seen on fleabay/ads either.
How much did you pay (if you are prepared to answer ) and any history?
