body panel/seat box jointing putty

what is the name of the grey jointing putty that is used to seal the seat box to the rear bulk head and the floor panels to the door rails? the gear box is in and now in the process getting the seat box back in. cannot find anything on Halfords website suitable where can I get it from? would silicon...

We finally have a gear box back in the truck!!! Spent ages trying to get the rubber mounts to fit. Lost 1.5 hrs trying to get to fit and get thr nuts on the threads. Back still in pain. Decided won't bother with the manifolds. Haven't got the spare cash for a new alternator with a underslung slonoid...

the pipe from #5 cylinder is clashing with the chassis rail, what are the thought to trimming a bit out of the chassis and welding a new dished section in? have given the pipe a bang with the hammer but not overly keen, a couple of big hits haven't made much of a dent. don't want to end up putting a...

I am fitting tubular manifolds (SD1) to the truck and they clash with the solenoid on the side of the starter motor. I have two options - Fit a standard SD1 starter motor with the under slung solenoid or fit a Rover SD1 V8 Uprated Hi Torque Starter Motor. my question is: does anybody have any experi...

Changed the clutch plate at the weekend as I had a brand new spare one. there was plenty of life in the old one but as it was available - why not. got the wire brush cup on the angle grinder on the chassis to give it a tidy up, the amount of moisture in the atmosphere would make any painting a waste...

Fun day with my dad on Saturday removing the gear box in the rain.
That's the easy cheap bit done now. The shopping list is growing for parts.

I have manifolds, I just cannot release them until l get mine completed and back on the road, just in case it does not all work and needs to be returned to standard.

Type 3M100 Sealed V8 (newer type solenoid)
