I agree, sounds like a good idea; unfortunately I too can't make it over the festive period but could do a Sat/Sun towards the end of January or February. I hail from Swanley.

Fuel leak sorted
Thanks for the advice, it turned out to be an olive that wasn't sealing properly, total cost .55p! Unfortunately I've had to use a metric one as nobody seems to sell imperial ones anymore . . . unless someone knows different?

Fuel leak
Hi Andy, If you look at the bottom right picture on page 7 of your website, it's the steel pipe that enters the fuel filter that's leaking. The nut is a hollow one that the pipe passes through. On the end of the pipe is a rounded funnel that the hollow nut tightens up on and seals the pipe in place....

Diesel in V8 !
Guys, Thanks for the advice, engine started, loads of smoke as predicted but it was ok because it was bonfire night! Unfortunately I’ve now got a fuel leak. Petrol is coming from the pipe that enters the fuel filter; I’d previously disconnected it to drain the diesel. I disconnected the pipe again a...

Arrrgh I've put diesel in the V8 !
Don't ask me how as I'm still trying to work it out myself . . . anyway I put £30.00 of diesel in an empty tank, drove it 500 yards home then loads of white smoke  I've drained the tank; now my friend has 20 litres of fuel for his oil heater! I then disconnected the pipes from the fuel filter a...

Quentin Willson - Stage 1
Greetings,
Does anybody have a copy of the TV article that Quentin Willson did on his own Java Green Stage 1, I believe it was on an old edition of Top Gear but I'm not 100% sure.
I've tried to search the Web but to no avail.
Kev.

4th Gear Problem
Hi All,
Whilst driving the Stage 1 today I had an issue when changing gear from 3rd to 4th. Unless I was very deliberate and precise, it would make an awful grinding noise as though it was hitting reverse.
Any ideas
Cheers. K.

Oil pressure transmitter
When I disconnect it the gauge stops working so I imagine it must be the one to the gauge.
The reason for replacing it is because it's leaking oil all over the front diff.

Oil pressure transmitter
I've just received an oil pressure transmitter from Dingocroft, part number DRC2479, but it looks nothing like the one fitted to my V8. Does anybody know if the part was updated/revised. I don't want to go to all the effort of removing the old one just to find out the new one doesn't fit. My Stage 1...

OK so I was wrong ! . . . the oil is actually coming from the oil pressure transmitter. Do I replace it in the same way as the oil pressure switch ?

Oil pressure switch leakage
There's oil covering the front diff that, as far as I can tell, is coming from the oil pressure switch. I've looked in the manual but can find no instructions on how to replace the switch. Does anybody out there have previous experience with this issue. How do I replace the switch, do I need to drai...
